How we count

For the comparison with other services we count cooperatives only: entries we have confirmed as non-profit and whose legal form in the commercial register is a cooperative. That is 1'824. Foundations, companies limited by shares and municipalities are not counted here, even though they are in the directory.

The next-largest service that states a number is Mietradar, with 376 cooperatives (its own figure, checked on 22.10.2026). Source ↗ 1'824 divided by 376 is 4.9. Other services give no number or count “sources” instead of cooperatives.

Duplicates are merged by UID, website domain and normalised names. We only show listings from verified non-profit providers. Place = registered office; the properties may be located elsewhere.
