How the scanner works

• Non-profit providers only: a listing is only included if the advertiser matches a verified entry in our directory (member lists of the regional associations of Wohnbaugenossenschaften Schweiz, cooperatives, municipal housing). Keywords such as "cooperative", "share certificate" or "cost rent" are a signal, but never enough on their own.
• Sources: cooperatives' rentals pages (conditional requests with ETag/Last-Modified, 741 pages) and Flatfox (public API). Homegate/Newhome are not queried automatically.
• Frequency: search run every 15 minutes across Switzerland (Flatfox and cooperative websites). Pages that only load their listings via JavaScript can only be read in part; for these cooperatives we link to the rentals page. At least 2 seconds between requests on Flatfox and 3 seconds per cooperative website, robots.txt is respected, user agent "GenoScanBot".
